Flying a Paraglider is not for everybody. However, anybody with determination to learn can become a pilot in just days. Positive attitude takes you a long way.
Paraglide Florida takes you step by step. The Basic Training Course is designed to show you paragliding up and close. This course will have you ground-handling the wing and teaches you basic weather lessons without the need to commit fully. The content will point out the similarities and differences between free flying and powered paragliding (Paramotor). The student will also learn how to become active within the different flying communities in Florida. At the end of this three-day basic course, the student will have all of the information they need to take an educated decision as to whether to continue with the advanced courses.
Basic Training Course
The Basic Training Course is an introductory course to paragliding and powered paragliding. This course is designed to immediately get the student started with hands on experience. At the end of this course, the student will be able to take an educated decision to continue with more advance training and with the purchase of their own equipment. (All equipment for Basic Training is included).
Paramotor Course
With Florida being so flat, owning a motor is having the ultimate freedom. It is so easy to motor your way up from so many different places without the commitment required for XC flying, or if you practice both paragliding and paramotor, it’s even better. Our PPG (Powered Paragliding) program takes you from day one to where you are capable and qualified to make your own flight decisions and recognize possible hazards. As you progress through this seven-day program, you will cover similar topics that are covered in the Paragliding Course, but will also cover in-depth and specific advantages, differences, and things to be aware of, that are very specific only to Paramotors. (Equipment is NOT included)

There is nothing that compares with free flight. Our program takes you from day one to where you are capable and qualified to make your own flight decisions. As you progress through this 8-10 day program, you will be introduced to coastal and thermal flying sites, tow launching, ridge and thermal soaring techniques, tandem instructional flights, practical flight theory, and much more. (Equipment is NOT included)
